OneMain offers a suite of benefits that includes many opportunities for team members to save money. Take advantage of these ten ways to save and make the most of your benefits.

The insurance companies have negotiated contracts with providers, facilities, and hospitals to reduce team members’ out-of-pocket costs.
Take advantage of preventive services covered at 100 percent. Well visits can detect medical conditions in the early stages rather than waiting until the condition requires more invasive care.
Team Members and their families should consider the most appropriate site of care to treat non-life-threatening conditions. Consider seeking care through an urgent care center, convenience care clinic, or via telehealth when your primary care physician (PCP) is not available. By using urgent care or telehealth, team members will reduce their out-of-pocket costs compared to ER visits.
Seek care whenever you need it by downloading the carrier app to access telehealth. Telehealth providers can help with a variety of conditions including cough, fever, pinkeye, sinus infections or sore throats. Team members enrolled in a OneMain medical plan can use telehealth services 24/7. Telehealth visits have lower out of pockets costs compared to an urgent care center or ER.
Utilize your insurance carrier’s cost estimators to understand the average cost for services in your area. For example, if you need a test, you can compare the cost between facilities and see the difference between a hospital setting vs. a free-standing outpatient facility.
Generic medications offer the same dosage, safety, effectiveness, and quality of brand name medications, but at a lower cost. Ask your provider if a generic medication is available.
For maintenance medications, ask your doctor for a 90-day supply script to lower your out-of-pocket costs. ESI members can also save by utilizing the Smart90 Walgreens program where you can receive your 90-day maintenance medication at the same copay as Express Scripts.
Leverage the power of Scripta Insights to learn more about your prescriptions, compare different formularies and identify cost saving opportunities. Scripta will provide you with a Personalized Savings Report, listing your current medications with lower-priced alternatives you can discuss with your doctor.
If you are taking a specialty medication, you may be eligible for copay assistance via the manufacturer copay programs. Please contact RxSolutions at 888-201-9175 if you have any questions.
If you are enrolled in OneMain’s dental and/or vision plans and you visit out-of-network providers, your out-of-pocket costs may be higher. When possible, locate an in-network provider using the carrier search tools. The MetLife Preventive and Enhanced dental plans leverage the 'PDP Plus' network, and the EyeMed vision plan utilizes the 'Insight' network. Find a dentist or eye doctor near you.
Consider enrolling and contributing to a savings account to utilize pre-tax dollars to pay for eligible healthcare expenses including over-the-counter medications. OneMain offers team members three types of Flexible Spending Account (FSA) plans in addition to a Health Savings Account (HSA).
Eligibility varies for the FSA plans, but you can only open an HSA with a qualifying Consumer Directed Health Plan (CDHP). If you are eligible for the HSA, you can choose to save your contributions for future expenses, but FSA funds must be used within the plan year.

Team members have access to Care.com for back-up care support for child or elder care.
